My new year started with new inspirations. I have been longing to make more three dimentional art and I found punch needle technique. It's not totally far from my drawing: in my dot technique I dot the paper like a machine. With punch needle technique I do similar dotting but just use more force. The result is soft and delicious. I'm really into this right now and I'm exploring new ideas to combine painting and punch needle.
I work with punch needle as I work with my other works: no planning, no sketches. I just "attack" the materials and let the hand lead the way on paper or canvas or textile. Wonderful freedom and peace of mind.
