Here is my portfolio

Hi I'm visual artist K. Tschährä. I create art mostly by drawing and painting but I work also with video art. I use often metallic pigment ink pens and liquid acrylic or pencils. Fractals and free flowing organic lines are usual in my art, as well as thousands of little dots. I'm based in Pispala, the pictoresque district of the city of Tampere in Finland. I have worked in art and culture field for many years but with an artist name K. Tschährä rather for a short period, from 2020.

The pseudonym K. Tschährä is my family's original Karelian name. Tschährä family lived in Karelia, Impilahti, at least from the 17th century to the year 1944 when Russia took Karelia after Continuation War. With my pseudonym I salute my Karelian roots. The name is genderless and gives more power to my art, when the art itself becomes more important than the person who has delivered it to the world. I'm an instrument visualizing the ancient motives into new forms.

My art has a connection to shamanism and natural religions. Microcosm and macrocosm is intertwined, the microscopic life and growth of the cells are the same as the big planetary movements in the Universe. The big cycle of life is the source that gives the forms to my drawings. The process of drawing is more important than the result for me, I love the feeling of freedom when the pen moves quickly on the paper making organic forms.
