Visual artist K. Tschährä

Portfolio, updated in autumn 2025

I create art mostly by drawing and painting but I work also with video and punch needle. Fractals and free flowing organic lines are usual in my art, microcosm and macrocosm are intertwined in my visionary pictures. I live and work in Pispala, the pictoresque district of the city of Tampere, Finland.

The pseudonym Tschährä is my family's original Karelian name. Tschährä family lived in Karelia, Impilahti, at least from the 17th century to the year 1944 when Finland lost Karelia to Russia after Continuation War. With my pseudonym and art I salute my Karelian roots.
